For effective use of Top-Bar Ability, focus on obtaining 10 Upgraded Idal Conduits
Spawn Obelisk
Incredibly versatile and cheap
Costs 10 Faction Power and requires vision
Balanced by lackluster individual performance
Offers four different Obelisk types
Obelisks last indefinitely unless destroyed
Guardian and Healing Obelisks can be assigned targets manually like units
Effective use depends on learning to switch quickly with hotkeys
Warp Obelisk
Permits rapid teleportation between two points on the map
Only two can be active at a time
Using the ability while two are active removes the oldest Warp Obelisk
Teleport by issuing a move command onto the Warp Obelisk; there is no cooldown
Has a weak bouncing attack that stuns enemies
Deceptively useful during the early game and defense because of its stun
Guardian Obelisk
Basic defensive structure with modest performance
Consumes 20 energy per shot to deal 100% more damage (Max Pool of 50)
Damage buff stacks with level and mastery bonuses
Energy can be recharged by Idal Conduits
Can also be constructed normally from the build menu
Can be deployed for army support while assaulting bases
+50% Damage to Air
Can target Air
Healing Obelisk
Basic healing structure with subpar performance
Useful for healing objectives
Consumes 20 energy per shot to heal for roughly 70% more HP (Max Pool of 50)
Heal buff stacks with level and mastery bonuses
Can also be constructed normally from the build menu
Tends to select closer or weaker units such as Thralls instead of expensive units
Better for sustaining static defenses than supporting an army
Summoning Obelisk
Spawns 2 Thralls and 2 Steelsworn after a 2–3 second delay
Spawns additional Thralls and Steelsworn (50/50) based on energy
Genuinely not worth focusing on farming Thralls like that
Requires 100 Energy to spawn 1 extra troop
Energy can be recharged by Idal Conduits
Provides vision over an area
Quickly reinforces your army during a fight
Can be spammed across enemy bases as a distraction while attacking
Does not any summon units while at supply capacity
Summon Emperor
Costs 20 Faction Power, has a 180-second cooldown, and requires vision
Deploys an Emperor Beacon at the target area; an Emperor spawns after 15 seconds
Each unit that dies within roughly 15 range of the Beacon grants the Emperor:
100 health per soul, or per point of supply
5 damage per soul, or per point of supply
Thralls can be sacrificed by right-clicking the Beacon
Sacrificed Thralls refund 8 Hexite
The Emperor lasts roughly 40 seconds after deployment
Constantly loses a percentage of its health
Heals whenever units die nearby
Healing units and structures can prolong its duration, but only marginally
Base stats: 20,000 health and 71 DPS
Attacks deal AoE damage in a range of 1
Can target air units
Very useful for sieging enemy bases and fighting Monstrosities or objectives
Use Warp Obelisks to reduce time lost to travel
Ability
AoE Cone Width increases with each Soul sacrificed before the Emperor deploys
Utility very much varies but it is better than one regular attack
Will move into position if cast out of range
2sec Casting Delay
Fairly short Cooldown; Cooldown is affected by Items
Deploy Monolith
Costs 20 Faction Power, has a 180-second cooldown, and requires vision
Very powerful defensive structure with 1000 health and 49 Base DPS
Significantly more effective than 2 Guardian Obelisks
Contrary to the tooltip, lasts indefinitely until killed
Performs a bonus attack whenever a nearby Thrall dies
Excellent for all defensive purposes
Can assist with pushing bases, but is not a good use of it
